National Eye Week - NHS Entitlements

Welcome to National Eye Week 2008

Despite 85 per cent of us admitting we have problems with our vision millions of us are putting off having a sight test because of worries about money – even though more than 30 million Brits are entitled to FREE eyecare (tests and/optical vouchers to cover the cost of any vision correction required) paid for by the NHS and many more of us are entitled to FREE eyecare paid for by their employer.

Are you one of the 30 million people entitled to FREE NHS eyecare? Click here to find out more.

Regular sight tests are vital for the early diagnosis and successful treatment of many common eye conditions as well as being an essential health check — your optometrist can detect a number of underlying health problems such as high cholesterol, high blood pressure, diabetes and increased risk of stroke.
